A serum is the most concentrated step in your routine. It goes on after cleansing, before moisturiser, and it does the heavy lifting on one specific concern. We keep our serum range small on purpose — two formulas, each with a clear job, so you are not paying for a shelf full of bottles that overlap.

Double VC Serum — for dull skin, glow and early fine lines

This is our hydrating face serum. It pairs vitamin C with hyaluronic acid, collagen and Centella Asiatica in a lightweight, water-based texture that sinks in fast and layers well under sunscreen. Choose it if your main complaint is that your skin looks tired, flat or grey by the afternoon, or if you are starting to notice fine lines and want a daily anti-aging serum for face that is easy to stick with.

Best for: dull skin, dehydration, glow, first fine lines, all skin types.

Vitamin C Serum

Dark Spot Correcting Serum — for dark spots and uneven tone

This one is built around niacinamide and arbutin, supported by hyaluronic acid, panthenol, vitamin E (tocopherol), jojoba and pomegranate seed oil. It works slowly and steadily on discolouration — old blemish marks, patches left by sun exposure, uneven areas around the cheeks and forehead. If you have been searching for a vitamin E serum, this is the formula in our range that contains it.

Best for: dark spots, post-acne marks, uneven skin tone, dryness alongside pigmentation.

Dark Spot Correcting Serum

Can you use both?

Yes. Many customers use the Double VC Serum in the morning for glow and antioxidant support, and the Dark Spot Correcting Serum at night when pigmentation is the priority. Apply one, let it absorb fully, then follow with moisturiser. If your skin is easily irritated, start with one serum for four weeks before adding the second.

How to Choose the Right Face Serum

Start with your one main concern

Serums work best when they are asked to do one thing. Write down the single change you most want to see in the mirror, then pick from there.

Skin looks dull, tired or flat → Double VC Serum

Brown spots, patches or old blemish marks → Dark Spot Correcting Serum

Fine lines on the forehead, around the mouth or across the cheeks → Double VC Serum

Skin feels tight and dehydrated by midday → Double VC Serum

Marks left behind after breakouts have healed → Dark Spot Correcting Serum

Match the texture to your skin type

Both of our serums are lightweight and non-greasy, which suits the Gulf climate — heavy oils feel uncomfortable in humidity and under sunscreen.

Oily and acne-prone skin: a water-based hydrating face serum for oily skin is usually enough on its own in summer, with a light moisturiser at night. Neither serum is heavy or occlusive.

Dry and mature skin: apply your serum to slightly damp skin and seal it with a cream. Serums hydrate, but they do not replace a moisturiser — that is what our Day & Night Cream set is for.

Sensitive skin: patch test first, on the inner arm or along the jaw, for two days. Introduce one new product at a time and use it every other evening for the first two weeks. Vitamin C in particular can tingle slightly on reactive skin at the start.

Men's skin: there is no separate anti aging serum for men. Male skin is generally thicker and oilier, which makes a light, fast-absorbing serum a good fit — apply after cleansing, before moisturiser, and again after shaving if your skin feels tight.

A note on the eye area

People often search for an anti aging eye serum, so we want to be straight with you: neither of these is an eye product, and we do not sell one. Face serums are formulated for the face, not for the thin, delicate skin of the eyelids. Keep application to the cheekbones and outward, avoiding the eye contour entirely. If fine lines under the eyes are your main concern, an eye-specific product from a brand that makes one is the right call.

Sunscreen is not optional

This is the part people skip, and it is the part that decides your result. Brightening ingredients like vitamin C, niacinamide and arbutin work against pigment that UV keeps producing. In UAE sun, using a brightening serum without daily SPF is like bailing water without plugging the leak. Apply sunscreen every morning, reapply if you are outdoors, and give any serum eight to twelve weeks before you judge it.

Where serums sit in your routine

Cleanse → serum → moisturiser → sunscreen in the morning. Cleanse → serum → moisturiser at night. Start with the Cleansers that suit your skin type, and add a weekly Face Mask if you want a boost of hydration or clarity between steps.

Face Serum FAQs

How long before I see results from a face serum?

Hydration and glow show first — most people notice skin looking plumper and less dull within two to four weeks. Pigmentation is slower. Dark spots need eight to twelve weeks of daily use before you can fairly judge a serum, because skin cells turn over roughly every month and older marks sit deeper than new ones. Take a photo in the same light on day one so you have something honest to compare against.

How much serum should I use, and when do I apply it?

Three to four drops for the whole face is enough — more does not work faster, it just runs into your hairline. Apply to clean, slightly damp skin, press it in rather than rubbing, and wait thirty to sixty seconds before your moisturiser. Serums go before creams because thin textures cannot push through thick ones.

What is the best serum for dull skin and dark circles?

For dull skin, the Double VC Serum is the one — vitamin C with hyaluronic acid tackles the flat, tired look that comes from dehydration and sun exposure. Dark circles are a different problem, and we would rather be honest than sell you something. Under-eye shadows usually come from thin skin, visible blood vessels, genetics or poor sleep, and no face serum removes them. Neither of our serums should be applied to the eyelid or under-eye area.

Can a serum help fine lines on the forehead and open pores?

Partly. Fine lines caused by dehydration soften noticeably once skin is properly hydrated — that is where a hydrating face serum earns its place. Expression lines that appear when you move your face are structural, and a serum will soften how they look, not erase them. Pores do not permanently shrink either; they look smaller when they are clear. If congestion and blackheads are the real issue, an exfoliating treatment does more than a serum — see our Salicylic Acid Face Mask.

Can I use a face serum instead of a moisturiser?

If your skin is oily and you are in the middle of a Dubai summer, a hydrating serum alone can be enough during the day. Dry, mature or air-conditioned skin still needs a cream on top — a serum delivers water-based ingredients, but it does not seal them in. Skipping moisturiser is often why people feel a serum “stopped working”.

Are these serums safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Neither serum contains retinol, which is the ingredient most often flagged in pregnancy. The Double VC Serum carton advises checking with your doctor before use if you are pregnant or nursing, and that is sound advice for any active product. Speak to your doctor or midwife first — they know your history, and we do not.

Should I keep my serum in the fridge in UAE heat?

It is not required, but it does no harm and vitamin C keeps better cool. What matters more is where you store it day to day: keep the bottle out of direct sunlight, off a sunny windowsill, and away from a hot bathroom shelf. Both serums should be used within twelve months of opening.
